“This trip awakened my senses on a new level, where I connected with the culture, my homeland and my soul.  The beauty of the area really ignited something inside my spirit that will always stay alive within.  Thanks Susanne for creating this soul journey.”  – CF, Melbourne – 2016 Uluru Tour

Day 1:  Alice Springs ~ Mparntwe

A welcome blessing and meditation with Susanne to set the tone for our journey together before our local guide Bob arrives to whisk us away to explore the awe inspiring  Tjoritja / West MacDonnell Ranges.

As dusk approaches we will travel to Bob’s own land to enjoy a  delicious bush bque cooked by Bob.  You will love the use of traditional Aboriginal herbs + spices too!.

Standing on sacred land with sunset hues of red, orange, gold, pink and rust to awaken your senses and clear out all the stress you arrived with.

1 night Accommodation at Chifley Resort, Alice Springs
3 course bush barbeque dinner + soft drinks under the milky way
Opening circle, blessing + sunset meditation

Suggestion:  Arrive early to discover the heart + soul of the outback ~ Alice Springs.
My fave places are Olive Pink Botanical Gardens and Alice Springs Desert Park

Day 2: Kings Creek Station – Kings Canyon ~ Watarrka National Park

Our guide Jen arrives early for our pleasant drive to Kings Creek Station and to explore Kings Canyon in Watarrka National Park.

Kings Canyon is quite simply breathtaking with plunging chasms, soaring red sandstone walls, a tropical oasis on the canyon floor.  440 million years to create this ancient landscape so what’s the rush.  Let’s slow down and appreciate the wonder of nature.

Kings Creek Station offers outback hospitality and natural beauty with majestic desert oaks and the George Gill Ranges as our backdrop.  Feel the serenity!

Enjoy a bushwoman’s breakfast before discovering more of this ancient wonder before hitting the highway bound for Yulara.

Suggestion:  Plenty of walking tracks from the serious to the leisurely – what suits you?

Guided walks
Meditation, Oracle Card Reading and daily flower essence + essential oils to suit

Day 3Kings Canyon ~ Uluru ~ Kata Tjuta

Journeying through the Red Centre to the ‘heart of Australia’ Uluru!  When you first see it  you may cry, be in awe or feel a deepening love for Australia and your place in it.

Arriving at Yulara we offer you time to settle in, swim or snooze before we witness the magic of a Uluru  sunset.  Many local artists display their works at sunset offering you the opportunity to chat to the artist and discover the story behind their art.

Soak up the moments in silence as you experience nature’s own light show the expansive, limitless and infinite night sky of Yulara.
Retire to your room after dinner in the Outback Hotel to soak in your bath! Bliss…

Our guide Jen lives at Yulara and is deeply involved with community.  She’ll share her knowledge, passion, stories and Anangu language with you.

Bushwoman’s breakfast at Kings Creek Station
Uluru guided walk with awareness + sensitivity
Meditation, Oracle Card Reading, Flower Essence + Essential Oils to suit

Day 4:  Uluru

Greet the morning sun at Uluru.   She has been 550 million years in the making and Uluru teaches us to slow down and enjoy easy paced walks with time to stop, breath, feel, absorb and be.

Watch all the tourists power walk past you missing the sacred beauty that you will be capturing.  Experience the power, beauty and tranquility of Uluru as you spend moments in silence and stillness.

Your afternoon is free to sit by the pool, eat out at a cafe, visit cultural centre (a must) run a bath, snooze or explore many of the free options available to you at Voyages.

Our late afternoon is dedicated to visiting the men’s sacred site of Kata Tjuta for sunset.  The Anangu people prefer women don’t walk through this area and in respect of this I personally do not enter this site.  However, you may be drawn to explore it.  So listen to what feels right and whether it pulls you.  Wander, tune in, sit under a tree and absorb the immense power of Kata Tjuta.  Breath it in and let it feed your own power centre.

A day of connection, listening and learning.

A farewell breakfast, closing ceremony and fond farewells to new friends.
Journey home with a lifetime of memories that you will never forget.

Testimonials from 2016 tour:

Desert Awakenings: the Red Centre not only pulls at your heart strings, it awakens your mind and soul.  PS Melbourne

This trip awakened my senses on a new level, where I connected with the culture, my homeland and my soul.  The beauty of the area really ignited something inside my spirit that will always stay alive within.  Thanks Susanne for creating this soul journey. X  CF Melbourne

I ended the tour feeling the ‘connections’ with the crew and fellow travellers were so much more important than simply taking photos for my album.  Stopping, listening, learning + living.  GG Melbourne

I loved everything about this tour.  It made me see things differently.  Seeing the diverse landscape with all the wild flowers in bloom and how green it looked after the rain.  Being with only a small group of women made it comfortable for me.  Chatting together at the end of the day and hearing how differently we were affected by what was around us.  Feeling things made me think more clearly about me.  Understanding more about this great part of Australia.  It’s people, their culture, their spirit.  WW NSW

I loved  Uluru but was really blown away by the West MacDonnell Ranges and around Alice Springs.  JM Melbourne

Amazing!  I am coming again next year.  PT Melbourne

  1. Susanne,

We intend to visit Uluru 14 August 2018. Happened to see your Red-Desert- Awakenings package. I would like to know if you are doing that tour from 15 to 19 Aug 2018? It will be for a group of 6 ladies, 4 from Singapore and 2 from Hongkong.

    Thank you

    1. Hello Mary,
      Lovely to hear from you.
I am in the final stages of planning but have penciled in 4th – 8th September 2018.
The weather is sublime and all the wildflowers have bloomed after the rains.
All will be on the website within the next week or so.
I realize the dates don’t match up. But it would be lovely to share this with your lovely ladies.
